If you do not know whether you need a visa in order to enter Sweden or the countries represented by the Embassy of Sweden the Embassy of Sweden will help you find the answer. The Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka represents Finland, Iceland, Poland, Slovenia, Latvia, The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg in Schengen visa matters. The process and required documents are the same as when applying for a Schengen visa with Sweden as the main destination. HOW TO APPLY Step 1 Applications for Schengen visa (only short-term visa) in order to go to Sweden or any of the countries that the Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka represents are accepted at the Visa Application Centre. Please note that Sweden or any other of the countries represented by the Embassy of Sweden has to be the main destination otherwise your application will not be accepted. Prepare the documentation Step 2 Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process your application, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy or Consulate. Step 3 Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Application Centre. Note: The services provided by VFS GLOBAL are optional and not an obligation. Applicant may submit their applications directly to the Embassy of Sweden in which case you should contact the visa section of the embassy by email at ambassaden.dhaka-visum@gov.se. A visa application cannot be submitted without prior appointment at the Embassy of Sweden.
